So it takes about two hours to get her.. I think, I don't know because I fell asleep on the way coming here. The first day was alright. We have to wait in line to find out where we are staying out but the people are friendly. When I got to he dorms. I didn't find any of my room mates s I unpacked. Then my room mate, Hannah, from Indiana came in and introduced herself. She told me about her adventure in Kenya. I thought that was cool that she went there. She plays the violin. She is also Into Spanish culture so she was happy I was Mexican. She complimented on my accents which I thought it was weird because most people don't like it. She also thinks I am lucky because I live in Los Angeles. I met my other room mates too. Tiff, is a little girly for me. she brought a lot of things with her too and talks to much -_-. She is from Dallas. Morgan is too picky and organized about her stuff. Her clothes are in order my brand in zip lock bags and that makes me laugh in the inside.I forgot where she is from. Sophie is always sleepy and changes clothes all the time. I forgot where she came from too.
Class is fun. Although Eric, the teacher, is teaching the things I know. Apparently, they don't know how to do contact sheets, which was shocking. They don't do time test so, Eric had to go through that again. Eric and I talked about my work and what I like to do so, she told me to try to Press develop. He told me, when I am in low light situation, to change my ISO to 1600. ( I also learn how to develop film). When I develop the film, to just put development in got 10 mintues. So I did and the things look pretty awesome so far on the negatives. I have to go back to cut them and do contact sheets. On Thursday I am going to Venice, we are going to stay until 7pm. o.o He expects us to shoot a lot. I think I might need more film because he really wants us to shoot more then one. I already used four rolls. O.o. Next week we are going to San Diego I think. In the dark room it is kinda hard to work. One because the girls use on tong for all the steps. Two, there is no adjustable easel. Three, I am using fiber paper O.O. So What I am planning to do, is to shoot when the girls are using the Darkroom. Around 3 or 4 they are going to leave because they are tired, I am going to work there. All by myself. I find it cool that we can be there all day if we want. Oh yeah, There are no guys in my class, what so ever. All girls that like to shoot landscapes. I feel like I only like to take pictures of people. lol. Oh well, I just hope they transition there work by the end of the session.
